Supporting Napa

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I offer sincere appreciation to you for your support of the Napa Chamber of Commerce.

The Napa Chamber of Commerce, like any great business, continues to change and grow in response to the needs of our members and the community. From testifying at a public hearing on a critical issue and educating members on local, state and federal legislation to providing unique networking opportunities and professional development — our Chamber is at the forefront. Our strength lies in the diversity and participation of our membership, and our array of programs offer something for everyone.

Members of the Chamber should know that there are just about as many ways to participate as there are membership categories — and I invite you to find the one that is meaningful for you and get involved. Please don’t think you need to spend days or hours away from your business to participate in your Chamber. You really can make a difference by writing a letter, making a phone call, showing up at a meeting or a mixer, serving on a committee, sponsoring a tee at the golf tournament, and probably the easiest of all — supporting fellow members. Start by reviewing this directory — I bet you will be surprised at how much you can get done by doing business with your peers.

The Board of Directors has spent a great deal of time and energy on our vision for this year — and as in the past, our goals are impressive and we are confident we can reach, and even surpass them with your help. We will be working to learn more about our members through the year: What makes them tick? What excites and interests them? What are the challenges or barriers that we can help them surmount? In looking inward we will learn more about how to create an even stronger and more representative Chamber — and that’s good for everyone.

I am honored to be your 2007 Chair and look forward to working on your behalf with the stellar Chamber of Commerce staff led by Kate King, President/CEO, who is not only a mentor but a great friend, and the rest of the Board of Directors. This is going to be another great year for the Chamber and for our community.
