Compost - A Natural Choice

DO YOU HAVE YARDWASTE?

composting center

Napa Recycling customers are entitled to up to two (City) or four (County) brown yardwaste carts at no charge. Additional carts are available for a small charge, and extra pickups are available two times per year (call for details). Yardwaste consists of grass clippings, leaves, brush, garden prunings, pumpkins and other vegetables/fruit from your yard and branches 6” diameter or smaller.

For larger loads, contact us and order a yardwaste debris box. To drop off yardwaste, go to our facility of Highway 29 at 820 Levitin Way (The gate fee is $36/ton.). Call 255-5200 or check www.naparecycling.com for additional service information.

WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR YARDWASTE?

soil

The yardwaste collected is produced into high quality organic compost. The compost is then used to naturally enrich the soil of farms, vineyards, yards and gardens...closing the loop locally and sustainably. Compost adds nutrients to the soil, prevents erosion, conserves water, saves money and fights global warming!

You can purchase compost at the Napa Recycling & Composting Facility at 820 Levitin Way, off Highway at 29 and Tower Road. NRWS will also deliver for a fee–10 cubic yard minimum. Napa’s compost is listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) for use in organic production and certified with the United States Composting Council's Seal of Testing Assurance.
