The Elmhurst Park District offers year-round recreational programs and activities for all ages, while providing services for individuals with special needs. Facilities include 29 neighborhood parks, two swimming pools, Wagner Community Center, Sugar Creek Golf Course (nine holes), Courts Plus, a Centre for Health, Sports and Fitness and The Hub at Berens Park with batting cages, miniature golf course and spray ground.
The Elmhurst Family YMCA offers a heated indoor pool, full-size gymnasium, Health Enhancement Center and an outdoor ice rink, plus classes and programs for all ages.
Also serving Elmhurst, the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County operates 59 forest preserves, four educational facilities, three golf courses and two banquet facilities.
The city’s family-friendly summer events include Elmfest in June and Cool Cars Under The Stars on Wednesdays, both held in downtown Elmhurst.
