Oak Lawn Public Library

library

Recognized as the finest library in the southwest suburbs, the Oak Lawn Public Library provides friendly service and access to a vast collection of resources for its residents’ research and recreation needs. Patrons of all ages are encouraged to take advantage of the library’s generous borrowing privileges, Internet workstations and wireless access, electronic databases, cultural and educational programs for children and adults, community meeting rooms, convenient book and video drops, patron café, homebound services and the opportunity for lifelong learning.

In response to a growing interest in the history of Oak Lawn, the library reestablished a Local History Room in April 2007. Community members can now access archived and reference materials, with special work areas and staffassistance provided.

The Oak Lawn Public Library is located in the center of town, at the corner of 95th Street and Cook Avenue (5300 W). For more information, call (708) 422-4990 or visit their website www.oaklawnlibrary.org.
