Oak Lawn Village Services
The Village of Oak Lawn is very proud of its many fine services. Residents are served by an experienced and well-trained staff of paramedics who utilize state-of-the-art emergency service equipment. Ambulances are located at the fire houses throughout the Village.
The Village streets are maintained by the Public Works Department. An ongoing program of resurfacing keeps the neighborhood streets in good repair. During the summer, the citizens of Oak Lawn and neighboring communities visit the Village-sponsored weekly Farmers’ Market, which welcomes farmers from southern Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. Farmers sell fresh fruits, vegetables, honey, fresh flowers, homegrown herbs and spices every Wednesday in the center of town.
The Village also is pleased to have Oak Lawn Family Services, an organization which provides family, marital and individual counseling, and referrals to other counseling services.
