There are several physicians, dentists, optometrists, and chiropractors that have practices within the Plainwell and Otsego communities. Borgess-Pipp Health Center is located in Plainwell, and is only three miles from Otsego. The health center has emergency room facilities, rehab services, hospital services, and has 43 beds. Only 10 miles away is Allegan General Hospital. Allegan General has 63 beds and also has emergency room and hospital services.

Plainwell Area EMS is located in Plainwell and serves the surrounding communities. Also in Plainwell are the William Crispe Community House, an assisted living home, and the Life Care Center of Plainwell, a nursing home and rehab center. Several other adult care and nursing homes are in the Plainwell area. The Dussia House has two locations in Otsego and one in Plainwell, and also offers adult care.

Only 15 minutes away in Kalamazoo are Bronson Methodist Hospital and Borgess Medical Center. Both are renowned for the excellent healthcare services that they provide.
